The following presentation about Koodikerho in English was given at the Ministry of Education on Sept 29th 2016. The presentation was part of the seminar “Coding and computational thinking on the curriculum: developments in Finland and across Europe.”.
The website Code.org provides the worlds most widely used training environment for children who are learning the basics of programming. Different kind of robots are also very popular as tools to help children learn the cause and effect of their code. What if these could be combined? What if there was a robot, that could execute exactly the same code as children produce in the code.org exercises?
So far our site has not had any information in English. This is now fixed as we have published a short presentation about Koodikerho.fi in English. The intro was created when we had a presentation about Koodikerho for foreign guests at the Ministry of Education on August 7th, 2015.
